The goal of the satellite programs that we are operating is to meet the needs of the children in many different areas. We will plan activities that will promote personal growth in a number of different areas that include cognitive development, physical development, social development, language development and emotional development. The program will also provide opportunities for the children to develop leadership skills, life skills and we will also promote family wellness.

Orton Park Learning Centre (capacity of 25 children)

This program is offered to children between the ages of 6 to 13 years old. It operates on regular school days at the Orton Park Learning Centre (3939 Lawrence Ave. East ). The program runs from 3:00pm to 6:00pm . The children and youth are involved in activities that include homework time, arts and crafts, computer time, games, cooking time and outside activities. A daily snack is provided for the participants in the program. The fee for the After School Program is $5 per month plus an annual $5 membership fee.

Separate registrations are held for PA Day, Christmas, March Break and Summer Programs. Fees for the full day programs are collected at the time of registration for these programs.

Lawrence/ Orton Park Breakfast Club

This program is offered to all children that live in the area. This program operates on regular school days at the Orton Park Breakfast Club (3945 Lawrence Av. East B2).

The Breakfast Club offers a nutritious breakfast from 7:30am to 9:00am . The cost is $1.00 per week or $0.25 per day.

Orton Park Girls Program

We will be offering a young woman's program here at Orton Park for young women ages 13-18 on Thursday evenings from 6:00pm-8:00pm in the Purple Recreation room at 3943 Lawerence Ave.
