Special Children's Activities

  • Celebrations - We try to celebrate any special days for all cultures. If there is a special day that your culture celebrates, please let the staff know and they will do their best to accommodate.
  • Birthdays - Birthdays are a special time for children. Please make sure your children's names are in the birthday book, a special day is chosen at the end of each month to celebrate the children's birthdays in that month.
  • Summer Programs - Contact the Centre for information and registration dates for Summer Day Camp. The summer camp operates during the months of July and August.

Other Services Offered

  • Good Food Box Program : The Good Food Box program is an opportunity for community residents to purchase fresh fruits and vegetables. The boxes are delivered directly to the Centre. There are a variety of boxes to choose from, you pick the one that will meet your family's needs. Produce is grown locally (as much as possible) thus helping to reduce the costs. We take orders approximately every three weeks, payment is due before delivery.
  • Information & Referral : Should you have any concerns, questions about your child, are looking for childcare, or have any other family issues, the staff can help with finding a service, agency or professional to assist you; all is confidential.
  • Toy Lending Library : The Centre has toys, games, puzzles and books which are available for families to borrow. There is something for every age group and a large variety to choose from.
  • Computer Access/Workshops : Computers are available during office hours for job search, internet, and resume preparation. We offer workshops on basic computer applications (Word, Excel, Internet). Contact the Centre for workshop information or to make an appointment.

The Centre is open from 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Monday - Friday

Drop-in program hours: Monday, Thursday, Friday - 9:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.

Thursday 1:30 p.m.– 3:30 p.m.

Office Hours - Monday, Tuesday, Friday - 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Thursday 9:00 a.m - 12:00 p.m.

Computer Classes - Fridays

Yearly Family Membership - $5.00 (September - August). Daily Drop-In Fees $.75 per session/per child, $1.00 per session (more than 2 children)

Noteable:

  • Each person (adults and children) must fill out a registration form
  • Please pay your fees on time
  • No one person shall have more than 5 children to care for by themselves at any time
