In my younger days, end of summer meant back to school, and back to school looks and fall fashion. Now I will always be a first and foremost summer fashion gal, but there is something always nice and cozy about fall fashion.
Not only does this week start with back to school it also marks the beginning of fall fashion week in New York. One of my favourite things to follow. Bittersweet time of year really.
I have been back home visiting my family in Ottawa, and during this visit two (out of 3) of my sisters are returning back to school. One into their finally year of high school and the other into her 2nd year of college! (She is taking Travel and tourism at Algonquin College)
Of course my main concern….”Sooooo what are you girls wearing on your first day back?”
Now of course education should and always be the first and foremost most important thing…..but I love fashion and styling! ha ha ha
Today I’m going to be sharing my thoughts, tips, and looks for Fall !
The thing I really love about fall this year, is this grunge/ boho chic look. It is that effortless, REALLY affordable yet chic and pulled off the right way elegant look.
How to pull off this look in two different ways:
(* A how to on the messy top bun http://www.bing.com/images/search?q=messy+hipster+bun#view=detail&id=9D534613835E3D7A8CC153DEC31BBE66A446CA49&selectedIndex=3)
Done. Simple and the great things is all these things can be found at Black Market in Toronto on Queen West for 10$ or less!
The second look for this to dress it up a little more is equally as simple.
Start with switching out your jeans for a camo, beige, or black pant, that is ankle cut, instead of rolled.
Switch out a pair of converse sneakers for a cute black strapped heel
and rid the camo jacket for a button up blouse which is done right up to your neck with a cute collar length necklace.
Lastly brush the crazy flyaways in your bun and spray them done to create a more flawless look.
Even if your school sports the uniform look, worry no more.
ALWAYS REMEBER TO STAY WITHIN YOUR SCHOOL’S EXPECTATIONS AND RULES (Trust me, it isn’t worth the lunch hour detentions)
Hair styles, nails, and jewelry can always help you define your style while still staying classy and in the school’s policies!
