A few weeks ago, our club and our community lost Shyanne Charles, a 14-year-old girl with her whole life ahead of her. Now, her family needs your help. Please take a minute to read the following letter from local councillor Paul Ainslie:
As the local Councillor for Scarborough East, I am very proud of the families which make up the fabric of our community. One of our families needs your help.
The tragic events which took place on July 9, 2012 took one of our children from us, Shyanne, a beautiful 14 year old girl. Her family now needs our support.
The family of Shyanne Charles has experienced a terrible loss, as well as incurring a number of expenses relating primarily to the funeral.
Any financial assistance would be greatly appreciated to help at this time.

In response to the tragic circumstance that recently touched the East Scarborough community and robbed it of two bright, young people, the Boys & Girls Club of East Scarborough is offering crisis and grief counselling to Club members, staff, and the community throughout the remainder of this week.
